History

CHT was founded in 1953 by Mr Reinhold Beitlich in Tübingen, Germany as a specialty chemical supplier for the complete textile chain. 1983 CHT was transformed into a foundation (Beitlich Family Foundation & Reinhold Beitlich Social Foundation). In the 2000s diversification was expanded with the establishment of the construction, performance chemicals and textile care business areas. In 2008/2009 the know-how and years of experience in textile finishing (especially the cleaning technology) could be successfully transferred to plastic recycling. This was the beginning of a new application field in CHT Group.
