April 26, 2017 R&D/Leverage, headquartered in Lee’s Summit, MO, announced the promotion of Mike Stiles to CEO. Stiles joined the company in 2000 as an Account Manager and was promoted to Director of Sales in 2015. He has been instrumental in helping to grow R&D/Leverage to a globally recognised manufacturer of precision injection and injection stretch blow moulds, and structural brand development for Fortune 500 customers in the rigid packaging, consumer products and healthcare markets.

The Engel Group, headquartered in Schwertberg, Austria, has appointed Markus Richter as chief financial officer (CFO) with effect from May 1st, 2017. He succeeds Klaus Siegmund, who left Engel in March.

On 31 March 2017, Patrick Peuch steps down from his role as Executive Director at Petcore Europe. Christian Crépet has been appointed as his successor by the Petcore Europe Board. "It has been a real pleasure for me to run Petcore Europe for the last four years since the start. With the continuous trust, support and contribution of our members, we have grown Petcore Europe to a reference model and a well-respected European organisation, acknowledging our open-minded approach and pro-active activities, our partnerships and relationships. It is now time for me to step down and to thank you all, and to express my best wishes to my successor," outlined Patrick Peuch during the Annual General Meeting of Petcore Europe.

Plastic Technologies, Inc. (PTI) has announced that Craig Robinson has joined the company as director of business development and innovation. Robinson brings to the company more than 30 years of business development experience in a wide variety of industries including packaging, orthopedic products and medical devices. He will be reporting to Scott Steele, president.

Mr Vimal Kedia, Managing Director, Manjushree Technopack has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award at the maiden The Economic Times (Polymers) Awards 2017. He was recognised for his achievements as an entrepreneur and his contribution to the development of the plastic packaging industry in India, spanning over three decades.

The former General Manager of Corvaglia Closures Eschlikon AG, Franco Bischof, has gone into retirement at the end of 2016. His successor, Reto Graf, has been Manager IT & Controlling at the corvaglia group until now.

As of January 1, 2017, Mr Christian Kapsamer, formerly of Husky Injection Molding Systems, will join Agr International as the Regional Director, Agr Northwestern Europe. In this role, Mr Kapsamer will head a newly established regional sales territory that was created to address continued growth and increased demand for Agr products in North and Western Europe. This new region includes Austria, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, the Nordic countries and some of the surrounding areas.

Avery Dennison Corporation announced that it named Jeroen Diderich to the role of vice president and general manager for Materials Group Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective January 1, 2017. Jeroen will replace Angelo Depietri, who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Dipl.-Ing. Michael Mehnert (34), youngest son of the company’s founder Gottfried Mehnert, joined the family company in various functions after successfully studying mechanical engineering in Aachen. In spring 2016, Michael Mehnert was appointed Managing Director of Bekum Maschinenfabrik Traismauer GesmbH, with the aim of supporting the long-standing Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. MBA Johannes Schwarz in the management and development of the company.

Gerd Liebig (55) will be new CEO at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. Starting January 1st, 2017 he will succeed Dr Tetsuya Okamura (60) who will take over a new responsible position at Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. Gerd Liebig has been working in responsible positions in Sales and Marketing the injection moulding industry for more than 25 years. From April 2015 on he has been the Chief Sales Officer at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH.

The management board of the Albis Plastic Group has announced that Carsten W. Wörner, Chief Sales Officer will, by mutual agreement, leave the company on 30 September 2016. Wörner took on the position of CSO on April 1, 2012 and since then has lead worldwide sales and the technical applications department. He was also responsible for the structural adjustment of sales as part of the progressive internationalisation strategy.

To better serve the expanding customer base, Athena is making organizational changes of the management team: Harold Luttmann has taken over as acting CEO, in addition to his current role of Chief Operations Officer. A Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be added to the management team shortly. Founder Robert Schad has temporarily assumed this responsibility.

Amcor Rigid Plastics has announced the appointment of Ashish Saxena as vice president and general manager of LiquiForm Group LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amcor. Saxena will be based at Amcor’s Saline, Michigan, USA facility and will report directly to Amcor Rigid Plastics President Michael Schmitt.

Bekum Maschinenfabriken now have a new Technical Director. Dr Wilfried Lehmann will take over this role with immediate effect. Dr Lehmann is known to Bekum customers already, as he previously held this position from 1998 to 2002. With this foundation, he will be able to draw on his practical experience in blow-moulding technology.

Renzo Davatz will become the new CEO of Netstal-Maschinen AG effective July 1, 2016. He takes over this role from Dr Hans Ulrich Golz, who will become the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Netstal.

Graham Engineering Corporation has appointed Robert Schroeder as director of business development for blow moulding systems. He will be responsible for worldwide commercial leadership of Graham Engineering’s range of blow moulding systems.

Achim Ebel, the former associate and general manager of B+B Anlagenbau GmbH has joined Herbold Meckesheim GmbH as division manager for washing lines.

KraussMaffei has appointed Klaus Zeiler as the new Head of the Logistics/Packaging business unit in the injection moulding machinery segment with immediate effect.He is taking over the duties of Emilio Lopez, who in future as Area Sales Manager for Ibero-America will concentrate on the expansion of the sales activities for the KraussMaffei and Netstal brands in the entire Latin American region.

Avery Dennison Corporation announced the appointment of Hassan Rmaile as the Global Vice President of R&D for its Materials Group effective immediately. He replaces Sjaak Elmendorp, who will be retiring from the company after 22 years of valued service.

Effective November 30th 2016, Peter Neumann, long-term chairman of the executive board of the Engel Group of Companies, withdraws from operational business after 35 years.

The Board of The Coca Cola Company elected Brent Hastie, Craig Williams and Julie Hamilton as Senior Vice Presidents of the Company, effective immediately.

Husky Injection Molding Systems announces the appointment of Dr. Jack Truong as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective February 1, 2016. Dr. Truong was previously the President and CEO of Electrolux North America and Executive Vice President, AB Electrolux Group.

Roelof Westerbeek will commence in his new role with Amcor on March 15, 2016 and will be based in Singapore. He joins Amcor from Royal DSM where he has held a number of leadership positions over a 27 year career. Since 2008 Roelof has been President DSM Engineering Plastics, providing solutions and materials to the automotive, electronics and food packaging industries. Prior to this role he was Business Unit President DSM Engineering Plastics Asia Pacific. During his career at DSM, he has worked and lived in Asia for 15 years.

Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced the appointment of Stefano Mirti to the position of President, Hot Runners and Controllers effective January 1, 2016. Mr Mirti has been acting interim leader of the Hot Runners and Controllers business since June 2015.

R&D/Leverage has elevated its level of expertise with the hiring of Shaun Markey as the company’s Brand Strategist. With his extensive background in the consumer package goods industry, Markey will provide strategic insights and collaborative structural packaging development combined with precision mould manufacturing.

Martin Resch is to become the new head of Finance, Purchasing and Information Technology for the KHS Group as of January 1, 2016. This was the decision reached by the Supervisory Board on November 26, 2015. He takes over this position from Burkhard Becker, who has acted in this post for the KHS Group since the end of March of this year in addition to his responsibilities as CFO of the Salzgitter Group. Becker shall remain a member of the Executive Management Board for special tasks until June 30, 2016.

Husky Injection Molding Systems announced the appointment of Randal Levine to the position of Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr Levine will officially join Husky as a member of the executive team and will lead the company’s global finance organisation.

Reto Bamert has been appointed as Head of the PET Business Unit, consequently taking over from Markus Dal Pian, Vice President Sales & Marketing, who had temporarily filled the post.

Coveris is pleased to announce that as of September 14, 2015, Mr Craig Reese will be joining the organization as President - Americas Food & Consumer Products. In his new role, Mr Reese will be responsible for leading the company’s recently formed Americas Food & Consumer Products Business Unit. He will be focused on building on the success seen by the business unit in 2015 and continuing the development and integration of the Latin American operations that were acquired during the recent purchase of Olefinas.

PlasticsEurope, the pan-European association representing European plastics manufacturers, is announcing the appointment of Leonor Garcia as Director Public Affairs. She will take up her new position at PlasticsEurope as of September 1, 2015. Presently, she is Director Corporate Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at The Coca-Cola Company, responsible for providing thought leadership, strategic direction and driving all external advocacy and representation of the company’s interests in external organisations related to food packaging safety. "We are delighted to be able to appoint someone of Leonor’s stature, experience and ability to this important role", said Karl-H. Foerster, Executive Director of PlasticsEurope. "Her experience in senior positions across different markets of industry will be an invaluable asset to PlasticsEurope, our members and external partners".

Husky Injection moulding Systems today announced changes within its global Beverage Packaging organization. Gerardo Chiaia will take on the new role of President of Global Beverage Packaging for Husky. In this role, Mr Chiaia will be focused on continuing to grow the business through the ongoing development of innovative technologies that will improve quality and push the industry forward, while delivering solutions that offer the best value to customers. Since joining Husky in 1994, Mr Chiaia has held positions of increasing responsibility across Husky's service, sales and manufacturing operations. Having previously held the role of Vice President Beverage Packaging, Mr Chiaia brings great leadership and experience to many areas of this business, as well as a deep customer focus and passion for delivering on commitments. He most recently served as the President of Hot Runners and Controllers, where he was able to leverage his experience to significantly drive growth and strengthen customer relationships. Mr Chiaia holds a Master's in Engineering and Automation from Metz University in France and an MBA from Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg.

On July 6th, 2015, Mark Stirpe joined Athena in the role of Business Manager, PET reporting to Jim Overbeeke, VP of Sales and Engineering. His responsibilities include sales and project engineering for preform machines and PET relationships across all levels.

In March of this year, Krones reported that changes were afoot within its Executive Board. At the time, due to an agreement with the incoming CFO’s current employer, Krones was not at liberty to disclose the name of the successor to CFO Christoph Klenk, who had been appointed to take over the helm as Chairman of the Executive Board effective 1 January 2016. Krones is now pleased to announce that Michael Andersen will join the company’s Executive Board as finance chief. Michael Andersen possesses many years’ experience in the packaging industry. He is currently the CFO of GEA Heat Exchangers and, as such, the member of the management board responsible for the areas Finance, IT, and Purchasing.

Effective July 27, 2015, Dr. Stieler will succeed Jan Siebert, who has led the KraussMaffei Group since January 2012, and who is leaving at his own request.

In this position Mr Cabana will provide direct service to national accounts, oversee regional sales activities, and develop sales strategy for Riverdale Global’s range of liquid colorants and additives. Included in his responsibilities is the company’s Sealed Color total system for localised supply and service, which uses sealed containers for delivering liquid colours, metering them into the process, and replenishing supplies.

March 09, 2015 | Amcor accounces new CEO

Amcor Chairman, Mr Graeme Liebelt, today announced that after 10 years at the helm of Amcor, Mr Ken MacKenzie has decided to retire from the position of Managing Director and CEO. Mr MacKenzie will leave Amcor at the end of the 2015 financial year and be succeeded by Mr Ron Delia, currently Amcor’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Delia joined Amcor in 2005 and has been the CFO since February 2011. Previously he was Vice President of the Rigid Plastics Latin America operations (2008-2011) and Executive Vice President Corporate Operations (2005-2008). Prior to joining Amcor, Mr. Delia spent five years with McKinsey & Company based in New York after starting his career in commercial roles in the packaging industry. Mr Delia has an MBA from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree.
