Krones, Hall B6 – Stand 100 The principal focus of Krones’ presence at this year’s drinktec is on improving line performance, to ensure higher individualisation and flexibility, and to impart additional sustainability to the production operation. Digitalisation plays a key role in this context, and constitutes a unifying theme for the entire Krones stand. Because marrying iron and steel to clouds and data makes for an even closer intermeshing of all processes along the entire value added chain – and will in the end upgrade performance levels in the production environment as well.

Hall A6 Stand 103 The intense R&D activities which have been a feature of Lanfranchi in recent years have led to a new result in terms of technological developments applied to unscramblers: the automatic change-over. The Unscrambler 2.0 is capable of handling a wide range of containers of different shapes and sizes.

Hall A5 Stand 302 In order to meet the ever-increasing customer requirements in a wide range of markets, Gernep GmbH's rotary labelling machines offer tailored solutions: Soluta for flexible self-adhesive, Labetta for universal cold glue and Rollfed or Rollina for rational all-round labelling with hot glue. Alternatively, Gernep labelling machines are designed modularly so that almost every special solution can be realised in addition to the standardised models.

Hall A3 Stand 111 Claranor will be at Drinktec to present its latest innovations dedicated to the beverage industry. On top of its latest solutions: the Claranor Puls’Full Cap, a cap sterilisation for the most sensitive filling line. The cap is decontaminated not only inside, but also outside, adapted for ESL 60 days and more. Further on Claranor Essential, a cap decontamination equipment compact and cost attractive for lower speed lines (<16.000 bph) will be shown.

Hall A4 Stand 323 Arburg will demonstrate at Drinktec its injection moulding technology which has been specially optimised for the packaging industry, particularly for fast sequence and high-cavity moulds. The exhibit, a packaging version of the hybrid Allrounder 570 H, has a clamping force of 1,800 kN and a size 800 injection unit. Twenty-four drink bottle caps will be produced in a cycle time of only 2.7 seconds on a high-performance mould from Z-moulds. The weight of the HDPE moulded parts is 1.25 grams. A vacuum conveyor and a direct colouring device ensure a correspondingly high throughput. Quality monitoring is carried out in-line using an optical system.

Hall A5 Stand 332 Serac confirms its expertise in container treatment based on dry processes with an industrial sterilisation solution using ebeam technology, capable of ensuring a 5 log bacteriological reduction on Bacillus Pumilus without leaving any chemical residue in the container and eliminating the consumption of chemical agents to decontaminate a bottle, BluStream is a technological breakthrough in the aseptic filling of plastic bottles, says Serac.
